Some of the best beaches in Asia can be found on Taiwan. May, June, July, August, September, and October months are the perfect time to sunbathe in the sun, if you can stand the heat. Some of Taiwan’s finest beaches can be found on its outlying islands, which have not yet developed a strong tourist trade. If you are lucky, you may stumble on a lovely and remote beach.
The beach of Baishawan lives up to its name. Located between Linshanbi and Fugueijiao on the northern coast, Baishawan is a 1,000-meter stretch of fine white sand beach with crystal clear water. It is just near Sanzhi place, and it is definitely one of northern Taiwan’s best known beaches. If you don’t float your boat to relax in the sun and water activities, there are also a number of other activities in the area that are guaranteed to keep you busy.
The beach is supported by a popular hill with hang gliders coming to take advantage of the strong winds. A gravel beach called Linshanbi is located on the western end of the bay. This beach is known for its formations of volcanic rocks and hiking trails. Baishawan can be easily reached. Take the Danshui MRT and take any bus going north around the coast from there. It will take about 40 minutes for your trip from Taipei.
Jinshan or Chinsan.
On Taiwan’s northeastern shore, Chinshan is another popular beach resort. Chinshan Beach is a popular place for families just north of Keelung. The golden sand beach of the beach extends about 500 meters in length and is perfect for sunbathing and sand sculptures. Locals for camping and barbecues are popular with a large recreational area just behind the beach. Chinshan also doubles as a hot spring spa, with a comfortable indoor swimming pool with hot springs.
Generally this beach is quite packed and loud. Wander along the coast if you are looking for something a bit quieter. Next, go through the harbor and pass over the park on top of the headland and you will find that the beach is located on the far side. There is also a small, somewhat secluded beach in the area. It is at the headland’s edge and can be accessed by walking the cliff down. Here, you can swim but at your own risk because the currents here are very strong. Busses to Chinshan regularly leave the Taipei North Bus Station and drop you right at the beach.
In Fulong Village, Fulong Beach is a stunning stretch of golden sand beaches on the northeast coast. Shuangsi River beach actually runs parallel to the beach on the shore. Besides that, there is a bridge connecting the two beaches. The Shuangsi River separates these two beaches, as it is a great place to windsurf and canoe.
Fulong Beach is a favorite summer destination for people in northern Taiwan as one of the few beach resorts in northern Taiwan. Visitors will enjoy many local and migratory birds found near the shores of Taiwan. There are also quite popular accommodations with rented log cabins and a large camping area.

It is probably one of the best kept secrets in Asia. The white golden sand beach spreads several kilometers in length and ends in a beak that reaches into the ocean for 1500 meters.
Here, the natural landscape is beautiful to be seen from the air. Baishawei Beach is situated on the southwest side of the island, renowned for its fine white sand.
