Spiritual Journey And How To Spiritualize Your Journey?

Tharahni Kalaiselvan / 13/01/2020

Spiritual Journey; this is not just about seeing places to travel. It’s an intense spiritual experience where you can learn to connect to the unknown, other than to communicate with yourself. This is a journey further than the comfort zone, searching for a greater knowledge of patience and perseverance, discovering a deep sense of peace, joy and appreciation.

You’re going to grow and learn in one way or another, and that’s what travel really is all about. Although traveling may be a leisurely act for some people, here are some main methods that will enrich you and render a spiritual journey to travel.

Intention To Know Why This Spiritual Journey Is Important

It should have a reason and a deeper meaning for every journey we undertake. Travel may become just a hollow pass time, a constantly pointless band, or just something else to consume without a reason or intention. The path is more like a seed that we plant in the soil, and it is the intentions that will help us improve and prosper, empowering experiences beyond our imagination. Whether we want to relax on Thailand’s beach, learn how to cook quesadilla while in Mexico, or visit Machu Picchu’s ruins digging deeper into the Incas’ history.  Any purpose is valid as long as it contributes to our lives.

Meditation

People lose their loved ones and valuable things to them and often have a propensity for days to grieve for them. On the other hand, travelers know that everything is going to flow at its own level, things are going to drift away, plans are going to fall apart and there are going to be friends we won’t meet again. Life’s irony is nothing will stay forever. Also travelers understand and accept the importance of impermanence. With meditation, we will learn how to face the storm as a master and graciously accept all that comes our way.

Spiritual Journey

It’s important to acknowledge that ‘this is going to pass away.’ It is important to spend some time out for meditation during your journey, perhaps only 5 minutes in the morning when you wake up or at night before going to bed. It’s a habit that will support in understanding that it won’t last long, no matter what good or bad can happen. Finally meditating on a daily basis will allow us to keep the thoughts floating and flowing instead of sticking to it.

Connect And Interact With The Surroundings

While most people tend to rush from one location to another, trying to see everything that can be done within a specified time, slowing down and observing is suggested. You will miss seeing a lot of things, but all you would see will allow you to better connect to the place.

Spiritual Journey

When you ask any serious nomad about what they enjoy most about travel, you will find that ‘observing people’ is often top of their list. Reflect more on the people, try to understand how their lives would be, what their everyday challenges would be, what would make them happy, and so on.

Gratitude

On the roads, it’s very natural and easy to get exhausted. There are thousands of things that never happen the way they ought to, a lot of things go out of place, mishaps happen, and situations get tough. But if we pause and think for a minute, we can realize that each of these scenarios adds something to your story and encourages us to develop. From every situation we meet and every person we encounter during the trip, there is always something to know.

Spiritual Journey

Instead of complaining “Why did this happen to me?, say “Thank God, this happened to me.” Smile and accept that this has happened to you as the Universe recognizes that you are good in dealing with the situation. Pause for a moment and consider that many other people around the world would love to be in your place! Everyone has the freedom to travel as you like, see places outside borders, meet people who don’t speak your language, binge on world cuisine and see the countless sunset colors in various countries. Are these reasons not sufficient to be grateful?

Conclusion

Wherever you go, just relax and have enough time to explore the world around you. On the other hand, it is important to be safe while you are traveling abroad.

Having a travel insurance can benefit the tourists as it is intended to cover medical expenses, cancelation of trips lost luggage, plane accident and other travel accidents while you are abroad.
