Saudi Arabia And The Tourist Destinations That Will Surprise You.

Tharahni Kalaiselvan / 20/02/2020

The Persian Gulf and the Red Sea are named after Saudi Arabia, the largest country in the Middle East. The first thing that appears in the mind when people speak of Saudi Arabia is oil. This country is popular for tourism other than the oil industry.

Riyadh – The Edge of the world.

The Edge of the World in the rugged desert northwest of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is an unexpected and dramatic geological wonder. The place has gained its nickname because it has an uninterrupted view of the horizon from the top of the escarpment. You will see dry rivers flowing across the land while standing on the cliffs, and see camels move far below. These camels and their herders follow a well traveled path as an ancient caravan route passed through their shadows. In and around the cliffs there are many walking trails. You can even get down to the lower plateau if you pass through a place called “The Window”. Keep an eye out of the fossils, and be vigilant as the gravel is loose and the rocks are sharp.

Saudi Arabia

Wadi Tayib Ism.

Tayeb Al-Ism is one of Saudi Arabia’s mystical natural wonders that attracts tourists. Tabuk Province’s incredible natural asset is centered on the Gulf of Aqaba, just 15 kilometers north of Maqna’s coastal town. When you reach the road running along the turquoise waters and white beaches of the Aqaba, the spectacular form of the Tayeb Al-Ism’s 600-meter-high granite massif hits the tourists. The granite’s sharp edges dropped into the Aqaba Gulf. The visitors of Tayeb Al-Ism see another wonder from the bridge which is the small flow of crystal clear water that runs through the gravel. As a result, the wadi is home to multiple palm trees and reeds that create small oases circling the canyon’s vertiginous sides.

Saudi Arabia

Al Ahsa Oasis.

“Ahsa” is a classical Arabic word which means the sound of water running underground. The oasis is one of the world’s largest and one of the country’s greenest places ever. This place in surrounded with more than 3 million palm trees and plenty of hot and cold springs. The unique thing about this Oasis is that, it is located in the middle of a sandy sea. It also has more than 10,000 hectares of agricultural land supplying some of the best dates in the world. This includes the famous date of al-Khalasah and a variety of vegetables, fruit and rice.

Saudi Arabia

Rijal Almaa.

When it comes to traditional Saudi architecture, Rijal Alma’s beautiful and colorful buildings are the best place to visit. This village’s popularity is due not only to its spectacular scenery, but also to its important role in the region’s history. This is an ancient village of Aseeri situated just 20 kilometers from the west of Abha. It is located on the ancient trade route between Yemen and the Red Sea in the bend of a wide valley.

Saudi Arabia

The landscape around Rijal Alma’ is made up of steep hills. This hills overlook a road that once carried spice and incense fruits into the interior of the Arabian Peninsula and a valley flowing towards the plain of Tihama. The hillsides seem to be lined with defensive watchtowers. This is to maximize observation fields and fire arches, exposing the builders’ well thought out designs.

Umluj.

There is no lack of breathtaking scenery and landscapes in Umluj Saudi Arabia which look like paintings recreated. The Umluj beaches are a perfect example of this. Umluj is a town in the region of Tabuk that stretches 150 kilometers north of Yanbu with 104 islands. With crystal clear waters and white silk like sand, it’s no wonder that the beaches of the city helped to gain the “Saudi Arabian Maldives” title of the region.

Saudi Arabia

Umluj is a preferred destination for nature lovers, as it is on the track of numerous migrating birds and aquatic animals. The oceans are so pure that you have an incredibly clear view of aquatic life. There are no large ships or ferries in the area, just small boats where visitors can go fishing or explore the waters. The locals you encounter are very laid back and welcoming away from the beach, and there are plenty of natural springs.

Conclusion.

With Saudi Arabia now expanding to tourists, this wonderful country in the Middle East has never been a better time to explore.
