Car Safety Features That You Need To Know

Car Safety

Car safety features – do you know what they are? You have a variety of choices at your fingertips when it comes to buying a car. Not only do you have to pick your car’s make and model, you also have to decide whether to buy a new or used car. This is an important decision, and over the next few years it can make a big difference in your finances. Realizing that buying a car is not an investment is considerable. You can also determine your options on whether or not you are eligible for a loan or whether you need cash payment. It is important to spend time making sure it’s safe whether you’re looking for a used or new vehicle. But, have you ever wondered whether the car is safe to drive or not? How do you know it is safe to drive your car? Well, the car safety guide features can help you to decide which car to buy and driving safer. Here are a few basic car safety features which can protect you and your car.

Car Safety – Seat Belts

Seat belt has been listed by safety experts around the world as a protective tool, and they say it protects up to a million people every year. In the 21st century, all cars are equipped with seat belts. In the event of an accident, seat belts protect drivers and passengers to reduce the effect of a crash on the body. They also lower the risk of colliding with the steering wheel, dashboard, or windshield. As the world’s growing fast in the technology era, new seat belts are equipped with additional features to improve the performance of the seat belt. Adjustable upper belts, seat belt pretensioner, energy management features and rear center seat lap or shoulder belts are some of the new designs that were manufactured today to avoid the risk of severe injury.

Car Safety – Air Bags

Airbags are passive controls that turn on when a car detects a collision. The on-board computer that are connected crash sensors detect a frontal collision and release the bags. When the bags inflate in the blink of an eye, they begin deflating instantly. The front airbags inflate to avoid the driver and the passengers from reaching the dashboard, steering wheel, or windshield, depending on the velocity of impact and the strength of the object struck. Side airbags reduce the risk of hitting the door or objects smashing through it by the occupants. While airbags provide the vast majority of people with life-saving benefits, there are circumstances where deployment of airbags can have harmful effects, such as the driver or the passengers unbuckled the seatbelts. In reality, the optimum reliability of the air bag depends on seat belts, which helps to keep you in place in the event of a crash. The airbag has to work between when the car hits the other object and the driver hits the steering wheel in a limited amount of time. For this reason, a seat belt also needs to be worn, although all vehicles need to be fitted with an airbag.

Mirrors

Mirrors It is very important to properly position side and rear view mirrors. Proper mirror alignment guarantees high visibility and prevents blind spots. Your first thought is probably not about the side mirrors when you look at cars. However, many cars today are technologically advanced and have several safety features that you should keep in mind on the side mirrors. Turning signals in a vehicle plays a key role in stopping an accident. Most turn signals from cars are only located at the car’s front and rear. For turn signals on side mirrors, cars can see the indication turning clearly on all sides of the vehicles.

Another mirror attached to or next to the side mirror is a blind spot mirror. Giving a better view of the blind spot of the vehicle is at a different angle than the side mirror. Such mirrors are often used by trucks so the driver can see what they are towing behind the vehicle. Next is the blind spot detection. Blind spots can be very dangerous, but you can see the blind spot easily with new technology. Such systems are a sensor mounted on the side mirrors to alert the driver in the blind spot of a car or any object. Such safety features can be very useful while driving. Upon buying the vehicle, many of these may be included, but many are installed by the manufacturer.

Pre-collision Technology

Pre-Collision Technology

Pre-collision technology is an advanced vehicle safety system that prevents accident related serious injuries. It is a highly complex automotive design that incorporates active and passive security features to protect the driver and prevent accidents. Pre collision technology contain small radar detectors installed inside or up close to the vehicle’s front that continuously produce radar waves of high frequency. Such waves detect the nearest obstacles or objects, bouncing back to the sensors. When a collision is about to occur, some pre collision technology warn or notify drivers with an alarm sound. Other systems, like the pre-collision braking system, control certain car functions. The system exerts additional pressure on the brakes to support the driver and slows the vehicle with immediate effect. It reduces the risk that a collision or accident may cause potential damage. Such a warning system allows the driver to act immediately and accordingly.

Why the car safety features are important?

Over the years, safety features in cars have come a long way. Options such as crumple zones, seat belts and airbags all provide coverage if you have a crash, but active safety assist technologies that can stop a crash are now an important point of differentiation. Manufactures produces many products and safety assist systems that are effective, usually automatic, safety features that can avoid a crash or reduce a crash impact. Around 90% of road accidents involve some kind of human error. If you’re not driving carefully, and you might end up in an unnecessary car crash. This is what frequently happens to reckless drivers who, before causing a car accident, speed, switch lanes too fast or tailgate. To avoid the accidents and improve the car safety in Malaysia, the Telematics device are designed to record your car’s speed and recognizes how severe the accident damage is caused and can send an ambulance to your precise location, even if you don’t know where you are.
