1. If your engine is overheating, turn on the heater.
Many people wouldn’t think of this or want to do it on a warm day. Alternatively, you want to run the air conditioner. 2. With the Windows Open, fuel economy is reduced.
It is another of those cases that “rely on it.” When you’re driving a big truck, or a big bus, or if you are pulling a big trailer, that doesn’t really matter. In a larger, more aerodynamically built car, the drop with fuel mileage will be more apparent, and even at that, the impact is observable at the machine level, and it will have some effect.
3. During the hot weather, put the plain water in your radiator.

5. Get your new car serviced from the dealer and void your warranty
This one is absolutely factually wrong. Each professional mechanic / service shop is able to perform routine maintenance. The warranty depends on these maintenance issues being carried out, not where they are being performed. This misconception could be perpetuated by some unscrupulous new car sales workers in an attempt to make more money for the dealer. But you had be lying by them.
